Here, it is not unusual to come to the restaurant or open air café and unexpectedly witness a live concert of jazz or flamenco live music. Restaurants in Kaliningrad also like to entertain their visitors with live pop artists or bard music. “Baltic seasons” concerts are a favorite of all Kaliningrad residents and visitors. Well renowned musicians come from all over Russia. Locations include some of the best theaters of Moscow and St. Petersburg. 
Kaliningrad citizens and guests of the city attend a very bright event annually. Every September, in the city of Chernyahovsk a horse jumping competition ensues. This is the Gran Prix Championship of Europe, with the top prize of $350,000. The championship takes place on the territory of an old German horse-breeding stud, “Georgienburg”. This was one of the places where famous Prussian stallions were bred. The level of organization and competition is very high. Million dollars horses show up for this event with their owners.
Every year, the event is accompanied by live concert of famous groups, including the Gipsy Kings. During the magnificent competition, pop stars mix with visitors. There is always the chance opportunity to get an autograph or small interview.
 For the fashion seekers, Kaliningrad also has a growing fashion and beauty industry, including a number of modeling agencies. Great shopping areas may compete with many famous American boutique shopping areas, such as Lincoln Park in Chicago. Streets have rows of big and small stores with unmistakable styles and fashionable European brands. You can find brands which are not yet world famous but have reasonable prices. There is also a good selection with the latest trends. One can also find premium fabrics and excellent European tailoring. Some of the stores are quite unique, and available only in Russia. Italian clothes, shoes and bags are the most loved by Russians. As a result, they are well represented. A wide selection of Italian and Europe fabrics are easily found in Kaliningrad stores. If you come at the right time, you may be able to catch one of the many fashion events and shows. When you visit, be sure to pack an extra empty suitcase. It will sure to be full when you arrive back home.
